REEL VINYL. The brain child of Rod Macdougall was formed in the summer of 2002 with promises of the next big thing to come out of the Vancouver and Canadian music scene. With the help of Greenhouse recording studio owner Bruce Levens, the band recorded its first studio release, Three Sided Story in January 2005 and was later released in April of the same year. With much praise from fans and Bruce himself the album has become somewhat of an underground sensation through out the Fraser Valley and a break through into the rest of the lower mainland. Things were looking good for this straight up rock act called REEL VINYL. Two months into the release of Three Sided Story two of the original members quit and decided to pursue other avenues outside of the music scene. (we wish them luck). With those members gone Rod was left holding onto something that was very close to his heart, his band and his ability to share the great songs that he had spent years working on to bring you the great music you hear today. Dave Bush was brought in to play bass followed by Paul Harmon on drums and chris(cb)Brown on lead guitar to round out and complete the line up of REEL VINYL. With many gigs past and more to come in the future REEL VINYL is set to take the local and Canadian music scene by storm.Look for us on your favorite music station and venue near you.CHEERS!
